By Road
Newhouses is on the unclassified, no-through road which leads north from the village of Horton in Ribblesdale to the moors at High Birkwith.

Navigate to Settle on the A65. Go through the town to the river bridge and turn on to the B6479. Follow this for 7 miles to Horton in Ribblesdale.

At Horton follow the road through the village to a hump back bridge with the Crown Hotel straight ahead. Bear left and turn immediately right onto the un-signposted no through road.

Follow this lane for half a mile crossing a cobbled ford (usually dry), bear left up the slope and South View is straight ahead to the right of the lane.

By Train
Horton is on the famous Settle & Carlisle railway and has a regular service from Leeds or Bradford via Skipton. The station is about a mile from Newhouses.
